Our team is made up of over 80 individuals who design and conduct multi-center clinical trials, especially for neurodegenerative and rare disorders. Over the last two decades, CHeT has been instrumental in conducting pivotal clinical trials in support of seven FDA approvals. These include first of their kind therapies for Parkinson disease, Huntington disease, and other rare disorders.

The Department of Biomedical Genetics investigates how cell regulation and signaling pathways control complex biological processes, including stem cell maintenance and differentiation, cancer, aging, and organism development. There is a focus on genetically tractable human disease models. Multidisciplinary research using state-of-the-art approaches in cell biology, genetics, genomics, systems and computational biology is conducted in the department.

Most are members of the Genetics, Development and Stem Cells Program. The Department offers a number of lecture courses in the areas of cell biology, genetics, genomics, systems biology and biomedicine.
